I know I haven't been on dA in ages--been so busy!! When I have time off, I PROMISE to finally reply to all of you. Until then--I have 117 messages unread messages--I love you anyway, I swear!

Another reason I no longer have inane amounts of free time to waste on deviantART would have to be the fact that I have a boyfriend...who cosplays Kira. Yes. You know you want it. We also have the LxLight handcuffs and are the same height (albeit several inches shorter than both L and Light). Anyway, we'll take pictures sometime and post them--who knows, we could even do LightxBB if we really wanted to or LightxMisa or LxMisa but meh. Or LightxMello! YES!! Or LxMello, if he used my wig and I used my hair...! Just full of ideas here. Anyway, I really hope to reply sometime soon (trying to pass PIB Algebra II at the moment while trying to keep above 4.3 GPA in all, e.g. PIB Biology, Chinese 1, IB Spanish 4, PIB LA 10, PIB US History, that damned algebra, and sophomore health) so I will see you all later. I still love you! I miss you! And I have to do that 10.2b homework!

It's true, I'm going to cosplay L for Halloween. Any excuse to be him, ne? And as Halloween is L's birthday and therefore, because I will be him, my birthday...give me cake? :3

Oh, and yes, 5 November 2009 will be his fifth deathday. Although he didn't die. Because doujinshi "God's Eyes" is the truth and I'm a believer (go read it if you haven't, this is part 1 of 7 on YouTube [link]). Anyway, it will be a time for much crying and depression, of course, followed by fervent Kira love/hatred. You know, the usual. And then I shall eat cake! ^^

Okay. First off, I went to Nan Desu Kan 2009 11-13 September 2009 *squees from all NDK con-goers* as my first con ever! Seeing as I live way out here in Colorado, of course, it's rather difficult to find one. BUT NDK is only two hours by bus away from my house, so...! Automatic IMUSTGOTOTHISCON!

I went Saturday and Sunday--some cosplay piccies are in my gallery--and I crossplayed L Lawliet of Death Note (well, duh). My wig is significantly improved from last summer's--not perfect, but pretty damn good, if I do say so myself. Anyway, the con was incredible and I am now in my high school's anime club *SQUEE!*

I'd love to stay at the Marriott DTC next year with the club, but I have to convince my parents--I'll be a junior and sixteen, and they're sure that's too young. Of course it's not. We're otaku. Anyway, I have 352 days to convince them, and if I do...! Perfection!

My current plan is to bring two cosplays (Howl of Howl's Moving Castle and L of Death Note, because I just can't stand not being Ryuuzaki-kun) and trade off according to how I feel at the time. Both are crossplays because I dislike cosplaying a girl (personal thing, it's not that I enjoy saran-wrapping my boobs) and it won't be too hard.

Howl: I'll have to make the costume, but I have a year to do that. I'll borrow my grandma's sewing machine or some such for the jacket, pants, and shirt, and also find a perfect necklace and earring. And blue contacts, because my eyes are blue-grey but that isn't good enough! My hair is naturally blonde, I'll just straighten and cut it a bit. No problem. Yay! And if I can, having a Calcifer prop/a cosplayer friend cosplay Calcifer would be incredible!

L: well, duh. I might sew myself a shirt just to make it perfect, but my jeans are already baggy and the right colour and amazing (a little long, too). I might buy a new wig if I find one that's PERFECT, but I have no problem whatsoever with my own. My pupils are naturally enormous and I bite my nails and I eat sugar all the time, so really...I was kind of born to cosplay L. (And yes, I really did write "Will do yaoi for sugar" on my hand, but I'll do yaoi regardless--YAOI!!!!!!)

Anyway, this is mostly for me but if anyone wants to comment, please do! Advice, questions, NDK squees, wig commentary...^^
